The Forbidden Remix Contest: after much deliberation and an incredible number of over 30 talented artists showcasing their work to iFeature, the winner was chosen.
But let’s go back to the start. iFeature is an artist known for his fusion of musical styles and hands-on involvement in the creative process and has already built up a very loyal fan base over the years. The idea for a Remix Contest came through his latest album “Forbidden” that was released on April 26th, and because he felt the need to support other small artists and give them a chance to be heard. For this contest, he gave away 12 track stems of his Album. The remixes had to be uploaded to Soundcloud with the tag “Forbiddenremixcontest” without any copyrighted sounds. After more than a month, the remixed were evaluated by several judges based on the mixdown, creativity, arrangement and audibility of the track.
The Winners
The winners were announced through a stream on YouTube and a post on Instagram, showcasing the three winning talents. First place went to tSaturn for his outstanding remix of the track “Awake”, winning €200 and a collaboration with iFeature; second place went to Jasq for bringing a fresh and dynamic energy to the original track “Athora”, showing his impressive skills and artistic vision, winning €100; and third place went to JK REPTILE for his exceptional creativity and a distinctive style that resonated with the judges on his remix of “Athora”, winning €50. In addition, the three winners of the contest received all the IFEA M4L Devices created by iFeature, including an analog multiband distortion plugin, an audio scratch, edit and recording tool, a powerful drum synthesizer, a spectral limiter and a spectral gate. In addition to the full set of tools, they also got Rebound 2, a Max for Live plugin that distorts sounds in ways never heard before.

The winning artists will be showcased in an exclusive Remix Compilation and in addition, three other participants will be included who raised the interest of the judges. The compilation will feature a variety of styles and interpretations from the talents, highlighting the versatility of the original tracks.
